Begin with downloading an excel sheet of either active transportation facility type. 

A. The RGV Off-Street Trails excel should open a document that looks like this 

B. The RGV On-Street Bike Facilities excel should open a document that looks like this

Enable editing of the excel sheet to add, correct, or clarify data in the cells. Please change the color of your edits so Staff may clearly view any changes.

Example:

A. For RGV Off-Street Trails (should reflect multi-use paths, generally 8-feet or more in width), the current 

• 'Name' of the trail (how is the path recognized in signage, online or official documents)
•  the 'City' in which the trail is located (this may be a County, State/National Park, or other public agency),
•  the 'Length' of the trail (in miles),
   the type of 'Surface Material' (common materials include asphalt, concrete, gravel/caliche, etc.);
•  the 'Width' of the trail (in feet),
• and any additional 'Comments' (appropriate comments include information about parking, amenities, common names the trail may be recognized as, the condition of the trail, nearby destinations, etc.)

Reference the draft of the RGVMPO Active Transportation Facility Inventory webmap to confirm facility segment details before saving your edited excel document.

Save a copy of your Excel document with your organization name and your name.
